This New York University Magna Cum Laude graduate with a B.A. degree in Journalism first gained experience in the public relations/advertising industry as a senior account executive at Bozell & Jacobs in NYC, where she serviced such prestigious accounts as Sea World of Florida, North American Philips, Russell Sportswear and Citibank. She then joined the client side at the corporate communications department of the CPA firm, Coopers & Lybrand.
Valerie later cultivated her skills as the senior creative writer at a Manhattan-based sales promotion firm, Diamond Promotion Group, creating sales materials for major clients like American Express, Pepsico, Nestle Foods, Norcliff-Thayer, L’Oreal, J&B, Paddington Corp., Foster’s Lager, and others.
In 1988, Valerie founded her freelance copywriting business built on relationships with many former associates who became her steady clients. Today she writes for a number of major corporations as well as small businesses, business organizations and charitable groups, namely Ricoh Corporation, Picatinny Federal Credit Union, Young Presidents Organization, among others. She is also renowned within the real estate industry, in which she’s specialized since 1990, as a sought-after marketing writer for leading brokerage companies, developers, construction and architectural firms in New York City, Long Island, Palm Beach and other markets nationwide. The Corcoran Group Real Estate, Prudential Douglas Elliman, Halstead Property, Century 21, Brown Harris Stevens and Sotheby’s are among her elite client roster.
A native New Yorker, Valerie currently resides in historic Plainfield, New Jersey.
