Mayda Freije Makdessi wears several hats at the company,
and holds a diversity of valuable talents which include concept development, graphic design, Arabic calligraphy, illustration,
and Arabic applications. Headquartered in the Middle East, she
is an integral part of concept development and communications
design for a myriad of client projects.

A graphic designer, illustrator and writer of children’s books,
Mayda received a Master of Science degree in Communication
from Pratt Institute in New York. Her solid New York experience included working with Union Design, Pentagram, Futurebrand
and many others.

In the course of her career Mayda has produced several
award-winning projects, and has been featured in numerous publications. Her murals were also chosen for the Building
Dreams Playground Improvement Projects in New York City.

Since relocating to Beirut, Mayda has been teaching various
courses at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and
the American University of Science & Technology (AUST), in
addition to working as a designer and illustrator. She is a
member of Assabil Association, a storyteller, and a promoter
of reading for the young.
